HakiArdhi statement of Statement of Receipts and Expenditure

The Land Rights Research and Resources Institute (LARRRI/HAKIARDHI) is a non-governmental not for profit organization that was established in 1994 in recognition of the need to facilitate the realization of a socially just and equitable national land tenure system that promotes and advances the rights to the land of majority rural-based small producers such as peasants, pastoralists,  artisan miners and other related groups. In order to achieve this noble objective, the organization has since its establishment embarked on; promoting the land rights of small producers through research, advocacy, public dialogues, legal advice and counseling of land rights victims, broad-based awareness-raising, and outreach programmes. The basis of those interventions has always been to enhance the knowledge base of the small producers and their capacity to participate in decision-making processes in order to protect their rights and influence changes in the land tenure system in their favor.

HAKIARDHI is publishing this Statement of Receipts and Expenditure in accordance with the Non-Governmental Organizations Act (Amendments) Regulations, 2018 section 13(a) which states that "notwithstanding regulation 12, Non-Governmental Organizations that obtained fund exceeding twenty million shillings shall: (a) be obliged to publish biannually the fund received and its expenditure in wide circulated newspapers and other media channels which are easily accessible by the targeted on beneficiaries.
